Ewell Blackwell - "Bona Fide"

Ewell Blackwell was a Major League Baseball player from 1942-1955. He was a pitcher and had a career ERA of 3.3. His began playing for the Cincinnati Reds in 1942 and he spent the majority of his career with them (1942, 1946-1952). Blackwell is a six-time All-Star (1946-1951) and World Series champion (1952). He was the 1947 NL strikeout leader and pitched a no-hitter on June 18, 1947. In 1960, he was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame.
