Honus Wagner Shower Curtains
“Can you Deny Forensic Science?”
“Can you deny forensic science?” is based on the fascinating controversy about the T206 HONUS WAGNER baseball card. Wagner played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and is widely considered to be one of the best players of all time.
The ATC had no choice but to end production of the Wagner card and so only between 60 and 200 cards were created making it an extremely rare and therefore valuable card.
The most famous one is the “Gretsky T206 Honus Wagner” card. The odd texture and shape of the card led to speculation that it was altered.
The transactions have made the Wagner card the most valuable card in baseball history and the controversy about its authenticity sparked the 2013 move “Swindle.”
In October 2014, a previous owner admitted that he had trimmed the Wagner card to sharply increase its value some 20+ years ago.
Other T206 Wagners, both legitimate and fake, have surfaced in recent years. Some of the real cards have sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars in auctions. One particular T206 Wagner owned by John Cobb and Ray Edwards of Cincinnati Ohio has attracted media attention over its authenticity with many leading hobby experts regarding it as fake. Cobb and Edwards have gone to great lengths to prove their card is legitimate and have been featured on several investigate news shows.
The controversy continues.
