Carl Hubbell - "24"

Carl Hubbell was a Major League Baseball pitcher for the New York Giants from 1928-1943. He had a career ERA of 2.98. Hubbell is a nine-time All-Star (1933-1938, 1940-1942), three-time NL wins leader (1933, 1936, 1937) two-time NL MVP (1933, 1936) and World Series champion (1933). He was the 1937 NL strikeout leader and pitched a no-hitter on May 8, 1929. Hubbell was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. In 1944, the New York Giants retired his number (11) and he made history as the first NL player to have his number retired.
