Several years ago I collaborated with Benjamin Blackburn, a very talented artist who specializes in wood cuts. Ben created the wood cut and I created a unique background.
Jackie Robinson played in the Negro Leagues in 1945 and then became the first African American to play in the Major Leagues from 1947-1956 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He has the distinct honor of having his number - #42 - retired by every major league baseball team. he was inducted into Cooperstown in 1962.
